For over 20 years, Bill has dedicated his career to investment advice and research. He was an advisor working with individuals, families and small businesses in the San Francisco Bay Area at Merrill Lynch Wealth Management for over two years. Previously, he served for 16 years as an equity strategist and economist at Merrill Lynch in New York, where he advised professional money managers, government officials, high net-worth individuals and financial advisors on investment strategies and economic analysis. Bill was an economist at Kidder, Peabody in New York and a staff member of the Federal Reserve Board in Washington, D.C.
Bill has contributed chapters for books and articles for research journals on economics and various asset classes that include emerging market and US public equities, the US bond market and private equity.
Education & Personal
Bill earned his MBA in finance from Columbia University in New York and graduated Phi Beta Kappa with a BA in economics from Rutgers University in New Jersey, where he grew up. He is among a select group of investment advisors that is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charter holder, a designation that is typically associated with institutional portfolio management professionals. He became a charter holder in 2001. He is a member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society of San Francisco. Bill and his wife reside in San Francisco, the launching pad for their adventures in food and the outdoors. They are also active members of the Walk Committee for the annual Walk for Lupus Now event in Northern California.
